Dot color seems to not matter... But I would say CCT as well. Even the newest ones can go bad.

Called dealer back again and he said he will look into it. Said he has a computer/tuner and we can play with it ourselves but wont be under warranty. Haha, that was the whole point. Said he will call Tech land or whoever and see. Told me about some headlight wiring recall that just came out...

Called Yamaha US and same answer... "I dont know.." WTF? Told me to talk to the dealer as the Yamaha rep does not have access to the "Tech People" like the dealer can call through Yamaha. Did I get a wrong number and got pranked? haha. Funny stuff.

It is... You would think EVERYONE should get it and dealers would be notified and have their heads out of the sand.

Not that I know of or have heard of... My dealer had no clue what I was talking about. Maybe I'll contact Yamaha directly and see...

+1 The R6 felt like a slug under 9k rpm. It reved to over 16k though and that scream was addicting...But for street riding, it really was not usable up that high. The FZ has gobs of power whenever you want it.

I had a 2009 R6. A couple bikes before the FZ09. Like the video shows, The FZ is a beast! I thought I wanted to go back to a super sport after getting rid of the R6. I had a FZ8 and a bandit 1200 after that. But i went ahead and got the FZ09. VERY happy with it. Much more comfy than the...

Let us know what you find out between the physical differences... But yeah, could be built in ECU restrictions. Interesting stuff.
