Sounds like a Yamaha problem..... My previous bike a Yamaha FJR1300 were known for the panniers falling off. Cause were screws that would come undone and needed thread locktite. Andy

Only had my MT09 / FZ09 for a week now but the throttle is way lighter than the Yamaha FJR1300 throttle I had before. They are known for being really heavy and an unofficial cure was to unwind the spring on the Throttle Body one turn. Andy

I agree, Motorcycle technology is falling way behind cars regarding Fuel economy & Servicing etc. But Honda, Kawasaki and all the others are just as bad compared to Yamaha reference having to have a first 600 Mile Service :( Andy

The MT-09 gearbox is as smooth butter compared to some of the clunkers that I have owned over the Years! Andy

Thanks for the welcome! I actually went to the dealer with the intention of getting the 07, but after seeing them side by side decided the 07 was too small for my bulk! :) Then after the testride on the 09 my mind was made up ! :D Andy
