I rode my Tracer for the last time today to collect my Super Tenere from the dealers. Riding it highlighted all the good things that attracted me to it in the first place, but riding the S Tenere back home confirmed that for me at least it's the ideal bike. and seeing as I can only afford one...
Mmmmm !
To all you Tracer owners, even if your riding along in a pink tutu at least you won't be bouncing round the bends suffering from vertical G, or having to twist the throttle half way round the bars before the motor kicks in.......................Or having to spend two grand putting it...
Cheers mate I will look into all of that. If you change the can do you have to change the mapping or alter the fueling or does it just slip on and run as normal ?
I road tested it today and love it so the deal is done and I should have it in a week or so. Already thought about a different can, but how do I go about getting it re flashed and what will that do?
I have very limited knowledge of the electronics, all my previous bikes had carbs and no...
Difficult to put my finger on it, I just don't feel comfortable with it, I think it's mainly that I'm so used to heavier bikes and I also realise I want an out and out long distance tourer rather than a sports tourer, hence the Tenere.
Enjoy your Tracer I'm sure you will love it
Sadly things just didn't work out with me and the Tracer. It's a great bike in may ways and I have been trying to convince myself it's the bike for me but I realise it just isn't. So I am chopping it in for a Super Tenere which I had been eyeing up for a long time until the Tracer caught my eye...
I may have an Akro Titanium for sale in the near future. It's currently on my Tracer and at this moment has done 1000 miles and has no marks. What would you offer ?
Thanks mate it will be good to get back on it.
I was told end of March for the rack and that just came in, so not bad. As for the panniers I was quoted mid April and no sign yet. They had better be here for June as my trip to the Alps is mid June !!
I think it's pretty poor when you are sold...
Got a call from the dealers today and my bike is all done and I'm picking it up tomorrow. Can't wait :D
There was a slight delay waiting for the new tank to come in but all done and dusted within a month, including the recall. Also my rack came in so that's done too. Still waiting for the...
Still worth a look though if the helmet/helmets you are interested are on there. I found it quite an eye opener and was surprised at some of the expensive lids that were not that well rated
Shoei for me, saved my head recently ! I have the XR1100 which has just been discontinued, but you can still pick them up and at £250 rather than the original £420. The GT Air looks good though
Make sure you check out the SHARP rating on any helmet you are thinking of buying. If you don't know...
