seems a lot of mid 50's to late 60's are buying the Tracer!
Yamaha must of done its home work as i think we were the intended target ;)
Loving mine, it really is a comfortable bike to ride
Welcome aboard mate! Plenty of good people and info to be found here

cheers Chuck
i would like a bigger screen but am having trouble finding one that has good comments? The Givi 2122DT the touring screen mentioned earlier as being too high? i really like the look of this one.
The other one i am looking at is the Puig Touring screen This one looks ok too.
so any con's...
60 years and 10 months haha
Body is stuffed :(
Did my research over about a month, looking for a suitable bike. Also knowing my mates don't really like the bigger heavier bikes as much as they used to, as most of us have stuffed bodies these days haha :D + i have seen them man handling...
No most are just as surprised as you are hearing about it. They never new anything was wrong! yet all had tight valve clearances?
A couple of people have had their 40K service and not had any problem but there does seem to be more that need it. Another note was they were all the early models...
common problem by all accounts! Here on an Australian forum nearly everyone is having the shims done too and here in Oz it's a little over a $1000 for that 40k service
