it's looking ropy and needs a bloody good clean and polish, it's also bare metal now as I took the paint off.

anyone know if the MT09 uses a CANBus system ?
trying to fit an HID kit and it keeps tripping, not blowing fuses, it just trips and I have to disconnect the power for a few seconds or if left it will come back on eventually, wondering if I need a CANBus HID kit
make the hazard lights only work with the ignition on ?
thanks to that my battery went flat on Sunday, mate had an off so I left my bike at the corner to warn traffic, fortunately it was on a bit of a slope and just managed to bump it before the slope became an incline
another great idea from...
does the MT09 need this done ?
my Street Triple did during servicing, well it was checked and adjusted if needs be, which it did need as it was "miles out" according to the technician at Fowlers and it must have cos the bike felt much smoother when I got it back.
anyone else running these on their MT09 who rides at a brisk pace (like you stole it) ?
I'm having a hard time with them, feel very unstable cornering and not confidence inspiring at all :/
had them on my Street Triple R and they were the dogs danglies, gripped like buggery, but not so on the MT
will they be covered by the warranty ?
I'm not a mechanic but it definitely feels like wheel bearing movement and a mechanic mate is going to check them later today.
bike is 7 months old and done 8,500 miles
saw Tom's thread (on Facebook) and thought I would look for something that could be modified, found one for a Kawasaki Versys that looks pretty good (IMHO), as his is for an ER6 I figured it should be a similar fit... if not it will be made to fit :D
will update when it's delivered
why the feck don't they supply it with all 3 bolts of correct length ?
1 OEM bolt goes back in which is now 3 or 4mm shorter than it should be so, being the ham fisted fucker that I am, the slightest over tightening of that bolt results in a de-thread and an unsecure fan mount :(
off to find the...
mate of mine want to get a Tracer but he's having trouble finding anyone that will insure it, other than Yamaha who want nearly £700, he pays less than £300 for his 14 plate CB1000R
does anyone on here have a Tracer and who are you insured with ?
thanks
ran it up this morning, after I'd washed yesterdays shite off, for less than 2 minutes and I noticed coolant dripping out the waterpump inlet hose coupling, anyone else had this ?
yes... warranty claim I know, but curious whether anyone else has had this problem ?
anyone else had this ?
when I start the bike I have to push the button back to the run position or it stays on start and the starter continues to run, makes a high pitch squeel.
I only noticed this today and seems to be the reason why the engine management light was coming on when I changed gear...
was out today and the bike started playing silly buggers, not breaking down but with the electrics.
every time I changed gear the engine management light flashed and, after stopping for food, when we set off again the indicators stopped working.
now home I turned the ignition off and on and the...
this came today, all the way from Ohio, a bargain at £138 including post and import duty :D
a lot of cutting and welding, some perforated tube, wadding, black paint and carbon fibre to follow :)
other than the adjuster behind the clocks is there anywhere else on the bike for adjusting the throttle play ?
I must have stretched the cable putting the heated grips on and there isn't enough adjustment to take up the slack
thanks
I know I hate them (well their service tech's) but was in there today and they're offering the MT09 and MT09 ABS with full Arrow exhaust system for the same price as a stock bike.
