Hi all. Anybody changed the plugs on their bike themselves? Seems a bit of pain to do by taking the tank off method. However just seen some comments on a youtube video which questioned the amount of work involved when you can simply undo 2 radiator bolts, unplug the fan and hey presto the...
I used fully synthetic oil on my 6k service. Just wondering if I can use semi synthetic oil on my next change or do I have to use fully synth every time once fully is used?
Thanks.
Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find what I was looking for in search.
Hi - Does everyones dash display Litres Per 100 kilometres on the average use, instead of a miles per gallon figure? ...Either this normal, I have an import(No, I haven't!), or Yam have saved a couple of Yen by not giving the UK miles per gallon. Perhaps I can change it, but as yet haven't found...
I may be returning to live in the UK in the new year. Question Will I be able to have my bike registered on British plates and will it pass an MOT if the speedometer (Digital readout)is only in KPH. Unlike UK spec bikes which you can change from MPH to KPH at the push of a button EU spec bikes...
Next week I will be doing my first oil change on the MT09. I like to change it just before winter and just before summer. I was looking at the service manual I got with the bike (on a USB stick - very handy!!!) and it says that the torque settings on the sump bolt is 43nm  this must be...
Hi folks can someone do me a favour. Check to see how you change the odometer from MPH to KPH.
Reason for asking is I am sure it can be done on a UK model bike, but as my bike was for the EU market I do not think it is possible.
I have asked on the MT09 FB page France and the replies I have had...
Hi everyone

A swedish dude saying hello!
Last season I was trying out various bikes to find my next one.
Kawasaki Z1000, Honda CB1000R, BMW S1000R, Suzuki GSX S1000, GSR750 and Ducati Monster 821. In the end I decided for GSX S1000. I like the seat position, engine sound, the slick gearbox och the red and...
Evening all
I stuck a pair of the lovely Ohlins springs in the front and kept the oil the same so as to change one thing at a time.
I'm now ready to change the oil for something thicker.
Anyone got any experience of this and any advice/tips etc.
Ta much, Fluke
I know, I know; more stuff on flashing, sorry. I searched all over the forum but couldn't find answers to the below, so would appreciate some advice.
A few questions on the various options I can choose for an ECU flash - what do they mean and why would I want it done?
1. Disable AIS valve:

Hi all
I am thinking of buying a Tracer. Unsure of whether to go for a used demo or buy a brand new model.
I am hearing about the fact that the bike is restricted. Is this the case in the UK? is it just the top speed? if so what is it limited to or are there any other restrictions?
I...
Interesting, I found that after my first oil change was done from new at 1000km it was a tad less responsive.., but only a tad ..
I guess the break in oil is thinner..?
I have serviced the with Liqui Moly (street) 10w40 semi synthetic.. (the bike is not over filled upright just under the upper...
.... I lost a very good friend in a motorbike crash near Windermere.
He was a very experienced and competent rider, capable of a good turn of speed but also quite content to bimble along when conditions required.
I wasn't with him at the time of the crash but the guy who was travelling behind...
Just a video of what the oil looked like coming out of my sump today when I drained the oil for the first time, I was a bit iffy as to why I would drain the oil before its first service as the owners manual and the dealer both say to get its first at 1000k's but I implore everyone to change...
