Having had my Triumph Street Triple 66 Plate stolen from outside my house (320 Miles on the clock). Decided to go for a 17 MT09 with Akra.
Got to wait until the end of the month for delivery!
Had a MT07 for a couple of years, so l;ooking forward to the Yam.

I remember a while since somebody posting regards brake fluid change on tracer with abs,I've done mine today 45 mins job taking my time,it says in the Haynes manual you should pulse test it after bleeding in other words take it to Yamaha but alls well with mine abs works & there's no lights...
As per the title, tomorrow I trade in my Street Triple R for a 2015 MT-09. So a chilly one hour ride up to London in the morning. But looking forward to getting back on something which, I hope, is more reliable that a Triumph.
2008 I traded in an R6 to get my current CBR600RR.
15000 miles later, its been all over the Alps with me, but I havent been on tour this year, and the bike just seems to be sat in my garage. The weather in the north of the UK doesnt help, nor do dangerous inattentive car drivers.

do I have to take the bike to a Yamaha dealer for servicing to keep the warranty or, unlike with those robbing feckers at Triumph, can I have it serviced at any garage/dealer ?

Went out to buy a Triumph Tiger XC .
Just happened to stop off at a Yamaha dealers in Chorley.
Saw the MT-09 and kicked the Triumph into touch.
Hope I won't live to regret it.

Decided to go with a retro / speed triple look - the original light was a little too "transformers" for me so grabbed a welder and some beers....errr, maybe I grabbed the beers first...hmmmm
What's cool is that I didn't have to cut anything original so I can put entire old assembly back on in...
