"without clothes"? That certainly gives new meaning to the term 'adventure riding' :) Our MT has no problem carrying that amount of weight. It actually rides better - on stock suspension - than my 700-pound V Star 1300 did.

Handguards, heated grips, small windshield and a good jacket make a huge difference. Better in fact than my V Star Deluxe with the batwing fairing and talk windshield.

I had a Kuryakyn fuel processor on my V Star 1300, mostly as anti-lean insurance when I opened up my airbox and exhaust. While it might have contributed to a slight bump in midrange power, all I know for sure is that the bike burned 10-15% more fuel with the device. And the spark plugs...

Vulcans... Magnas... so I'm not the only one. Everyone knows the MT as a wheelie machine, but to me the upright ergonomics make it the ideal "old guy bike". And being able to pivot it on the kickstand in my garage - so I never have to paddle it backwards - is an unexpected bonus.
