    Get Your Throttle Body Cleaned

I have just resolved and long annoying problem. My 2014 MT-09 has 44k on it. It started to feel like it did when it was new and had nasty throttle response prior to the reflash recall. The bike has Kev's O2 mod and used to be smooth. The bike was tiring to ride in traffic and generally...

    Tyre Choice

Hi Folks, Mt MT-09 needs new tyres. Any recommendations for daily ride to work bike. I'm told some of those hard in the middle tyres are good. I'm in Oz so they have to be available here.

Is the ECU flash that solves the closed loop the best?

Yep. ECU West can do it. They are an agent for Eculeashed. Full Factory Tune File Definitions - MT-09 & MT-07 Don't think those of you in the UK have the option although Race Engineering Unit 2 Oak Park Industrial Estate are listed as an Eculeashed agent. Don't know if they do bikes.

Is the ECU flash that solves the closed loop the best?

It's in this forum or the US one. I think it was the West Australian one. They are a franchise of a US flash vendor. If they read this can they confirm.

Is the ECU flash that solves the closed loop the best?

Kev’s O2 sensor mod has shown the importance of taming the closed loop behaviour of the fuel injection system. Now that one of the ECU flash vendors has “cracked” the closed loop has that vendor a decisive point of superiority to all other ECU flash vendors?

Who,s not had yamaha flash and if not why

It's very good and its free! Why wouldn't you. If you want more get a payed for one later you don't have to put up with the overly harsh std mode while saving up for Simons flash.

    getting wet butt !

I think the colostomy guard would work a treat. Hugger extensions are futile.

    getting wet butt !

Don't we need one of those strange things that hang off the back of the swing arm and wrap around the tyre. What are they called?

    Dealer ecu flash

1 week in Well after one week with the Yam reflash I am liking it even more. Hacking thru' traffic is now a breeze. The difference is subtle at first but after a time it really impresses how they tamed the first bit of throttle yet it seamlessly mates up with the raunchy bit after that. The...

Worried about the software in the electronic throttle?

Worried about the software in the electronic throttle? Don't. I found this animation of it. Looks like there is a mechanical fail safe. http://media.yamaha-motor-europe.com/dwnl/dc/2006_YCC-T%20S-2.mp4

Oxford Bike Stand seems very high

Hi, just got an Oxford bike stand. It was the cheapest I could find. I am surprised at how high it lifts the rear wheel. It is a two man job using it. Is this normal for these things?

    Dealer ecu flash

Just got it done Just got my Oz delivered MT flashed at City Yamaha. It's not as dramatic as I thought. B and A mode seem unchanged. STD is now smack in between where it should have been. Mind you the difference is only in the first (small) bit of throttle rotation. STD is still as exciting as...

    *****aftermarket ecu flash*****

For those engineers out there's an aftermarket ECU is available. Motorcycle Engine Control Unit (ECU) and Smal|Freescale [url=http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/prod_summary.jsp?code=KIT33812EKEVBE&fsrch=1r[/url] You might need one for each pot but at $50 each that's OK. Get to it and...
