Anybody knows what happened to the guy having the YouTube channel “Fast FZ09”?
There was some quite nice onboard shots from some epic roads in the southern US. He thought his bike got 140HP after a flash, but otherwise he was a quite cool guy, and he and his friends had some speed without gong...
Goodbye from Denmark.
Traded in my ´14 MT09. Did 30.000kms on it. Several trackdays, hollidays in the alps, fun rides in the weekend. Loved some, hated some. Went from Stock to PowercommanderV to ECU flash. The fueling never got perfect, but better. But that motor........man is that good...
Try and do the adjustment as in the manual (5-15mm), then get two fairly big friends to sit at the bike. Now your chain is tight as a piano string!!!
In my opinion the 5-15mm slack is way to tight. The on/off throttle abruptness is better though, hense the less transmission slack.
20-25mm is...
I used to use chain lubricants with wax to get a good sticky chain that was well lubed for a long period. I still sprayed fairly often at around every 400 kms. It was a pain in the a.. to clean the rear wheel, frame, svingarm, not to mention the chain, which had collected all the sand and dust...
by the way, I fully understand your filosofy with the taller gearing, and the possibility for downshifting if more power is needed. Never quite could follow the guys who put on lighter gearing on their sportbikes. I had a SV1000S before, and a guy at the forum said he geared it quite a bit down...
ABS-models use wheel-speed sensor to messure the speed. Dash gets info through ABS module.
Non ABS models have a speed sensor in the gearbox at the outgoing shaft.
:-)
I have the Yamaha soft panniers and a R&G tail tidy. It can work, but there is contact between blinkers and panniers. When I had the original blinkers I made sure they where not bend, when fitting the panniers. It was ok, and they stayed in the same position (perhaps needing some adjusting when...
The lambda sensor can only messure the AFR (by messuring how much O2 left in the exhaust). There is absolutely no advantage in higher octane than what the engine is designed for. The octane defines the fuels ability not to detonate. The higher the octane, the lesser risk for Detonating. Self...
