    Dead meter

Yes fairly common issue here in the UK. Mine packed up over 18 months ago, and Im aware of others in the UK with broken ones. At the time it couldnt be repaired, a new one is £500 but I managed to get a 2nd hand one for £250 (mine is a gen 1 2013 model) You are now able to get them repaired in...

I take it you have fully charged the new battery? Nest step would be to check the fuses

    Brake calipers and brake discs

I use EBC HH on all my bikes, even my 250 scooter. I find they are powerful enough to lock the front wheel with a massive squeeze (on both my MT & Xmax) so have never felt the need to upgrade to something with evem more stopping power

Question How to sell a road going motorcycle privately without someone stealing it?

When i have sold bikes I decide when they arrive if I will allow a test ride. If they pull up in my drive and seem OK, and they leave their car or even their partner/mate with me, then I am faitly happy to let them take it out (I also have CCTV in my drive so they are recorded) If a group of...

    Plastic stuck to headers

I would have thought a long run would melt it, then when it cools it will become hard and brittle and should just rub off

    Temp light (hi temp problems)

When riding about 70-80mph mine is steady at about 70 degrees C give or take couple of degrees. As long as I'm moving it will stay at this temperature indefinitely. Temp will creep up when at a standstill, but again drop to about 70 odd when moving. I have a radiator guard and side covers...

    Temp light (hi temp problems)

Sorry to hear, at least the dealer looks like he will fix it. Do you get a loan bike when yours is in? Usually when Im stuck in traffic, the temp can reach about 102 or 105, then the fan kicks in and it cools back to about 98 then the fan goes off. Does the radiator look OK, some people attempt...

    Temp light (hi temp problems)

Could be the problem I suppose, thermostats can fail

    Temp light (hi temp problems)

Let us know how you get on, not a problem I am aware off. Is the oil clean or milky white? Top of my head I would guess either failed water pump, blockage or failed head gasket. I dont think an air lock would cause this (it may have had a coolant change at service before dealer sold it)

Any one tired to fit 2021 Guage

It would be easier to make a bracket to move the speedo to where you want

Question EBC break pads - wheel difficult to rotate

I dont use the backing plates. A little bit of use should scrub the pads in, and the resistance should slowly disappear. If you still have an issue then syringe out some brfake fluid, but I doubt it will come to that

    no throttle

Hopefully you now have it fixed, when you say tuned do you mean engine work or an ECU flash? You seem to have multiple issues and not just the one

    Linkage play

Not sure about up and down play, but mine has quite a bit of play left and right, enough for the dog legs to score alloy linkage arm. Its been like it for a couple of years now, never failed an mot, I did space out with plastic washer which lasted for a bit until the washer fell out

Need Help best screen to eliminate high speed wobble

Have you tried removing the screen and trying it without one fitted? I had the speed wobble issue years ago, when I swapped tyres. Turned out the MT09 is very sensitive to different tyre brands, when i swapped to Michelin road 5's the issue totally went away and never returned (I swapped to...

    Tyre wear on 2020 MT09SP

I run the pilot 5's on my MT09, they suit the bike really well, they last about 6000-7000 miles for me (I have done 40000 miles on my MT so have gone through a few sets!)

No issues with mine, its a 2013 1st gen model, about 39000 miles

    Dash freeze

A broken dash is a common issue on the MT09. Mine started with the screen flickering, then went dead. The LCD is still backlit, and the idiot lights still work. I contacted a few UK companies who specialise in dash repair, they were all aware of the issue and stated its irrepairable, the LCD...
