I have the SW Motech on my 2015 bike from new. The have worn really well and have remained waterproof. They’re pretty robust evidenced by me falling off at standstill (don’t ask) and the only damage is a very slight scuff to one of the pannier corner plates, non to the bike.
The rack/carriers...
Hi,
Glad you’ve got the front forks fixed.
just for info I also had the rear shock changed to a Nitron T2 + HPA.
I primarily use my bike for touring now, with panniers etc so quite a lot of weight (no pillion though). The suspension upgrades have made it so much better, there is no...
HNY.
Sorry to hear about your accident.
I think that as KTM bikes have a more off road heritage so the WP suspension tends to be more rugged, I noticed the difference when I changed form my 690 Duke to the Tracer.
I replaced my internals with KTech and it has transformed the front suspension...
Hi All,
I've just come back from a long planned road trip and am now doing my 14 days quarantine which has already become boring. We did 2,360 miles in 3 weeks and visited Brittany, Loire, Dordogne, Pyranees, Western end of the Mediterranean and the Tarn Gorge. Apart from the journey from...
Many thanks for the reply, it’s actually what I’d thought but it is good to have someone confirm.
As most of our riding will be fully loaded we won’t be pushing hard so I’ll leave it be. Saves my a £1,000👏👏
I am going on a 5+ week tour of France & Spain (3k -3.5k miles) later this year.
The bike has SW Motech top box and side panniers but will also have a large roll bag with all the camping gear in it so there will be a considerable amount of weight. I've had a Nitron rear shock fitted with...
Just returned from a trip to Luxembourg, 930 miles in total. SW Motech panniers and top box, so not going to win any wind tunnel prizes for aerodynamics! Also I have a Puig touring screen and I'm 6'2" and 93kg. 59 mpg which in my world is pretty good. It bodes well for the round France trip...
I have recently bought the side panniers and mounting system for my bike and used them once on a trip to Luxembourg, where they were excellent, easy to take on and off and you can detach the racks very easily when you don't need them. However I am planning a much longer trip of several weeks...
Has anyone run heated clothing from the Tracer?
The power outlet is only 2amp which is not enough for most plug in heat gear so its pretty useless. I guess i could run something direct from the battery with a inline fuse.
Has anyone done anything similar?
I've got as far as pulling the spare plug out but does anyone know which is the live wire? There are brown and black wires, my garmin power lead has red and black wires, logic would dictate that it would be black to black and red to brown, but as we know assumption is the mother of all ****...
Another newbie here from SW London.
Got my new bike on Friday a Grey Tracer and haven't been able to ride it yet :( so will commute on it tomorrow morning.
This is going to be such a change from my previous bike, KTM Duke 690R.
