Yes it is. That said, this Akrapovic ti I have on it was also fitted to my 2014 model, I just swapped it to the new bike when I bought it.

Just sponge on hot soapy water after every ride, regardless of weather. Never put bike away wet, dry off headers and spray on something like wd40. I personally would not use anything abrasive or caustic on chrome if you want to keep it.

To throw you a curve ball, I bought the street rally flat seat for mine and found it far more comfortable than the stock one. It also perches you about an inch higher. Done a 1600 mile trip of Europe on it this year over 5 days with no comfort issues. Only about £115 too.
