I have GIVI TE2115 Easylock Pannier Racks on my 2016 MT09 and they take about 20 minutes to fit and 10 to remove (i prefer the look of the bike without them fitted when I'm not touring)
The panniers i have are
Givi 3D600 3D Easylock
Expandable Panniers - 50L and they take seconds to lock onto...
I do have a paddock stand but that lifts the back wheel from the centre of the rear hub and that's no use when configuring the sag on the suspension. The rear wheel has to be free from being supported and able to drop to the full extent (sag) of the suspension.
I'm looking to configure the suspension on my MT09 and in particular I need to setup the sag on the rear
Problem is of course that the mt09 has no centre stand and I need to get the rear wheel off the ground while I set it up
I know there are centre lifts and other such things I could buy...
My starter switch just started doing this too.
My bike is 2016 and out of warranty though so I'll be following this YouTube video to try and get it fixed before it causes some serious damage
I'm yorkshire based too. This time of year is fairly depressing for good riding opportunities but I'll get out whenever I can too. I envy anyone in Australia.... just imagine being able to go for a decent ride all year round!
I bought the Shad seat and i found the difference between that and the stock seat to be incomparable. I find the Shad seat to be supremely comfortable and definitely worth the £200+ that I paid for it.
Hey mike,
Did you ever write a "how to guide" on how you replaced the front fork cartridges please?
I'd be interested in having a go at doing this myself but any written guidance would help me greatly I think.
Cheers
I did think it might push out but if it does, it's not moving!
The rad guard I have, has a bracket that looks like it needs to bolt onto the bottom bracket.
I'll take a pic of the rad guard tomorrow and show you what I mean.
I'm trying to fit a rad guard to my 2016 mt09 and I'm struggling to work out how to remove the fixing to the bottom bracket
The guard I bought has 3 fix points and one is to the bottom bracket
It's not a bolt, but looks like a rubber grommet with plastic on the other side.
I've attached...
I bought a Shad comfort replacement seat for my MT09 and just came back from a 4 day / 800 mile tour, with barely any discomfort at all. With the previous stock seat, my backside was square after about 30 minutes max!
I also had an airhawk pad for a previous bike and that was also pretty good...
Hi all👋 I'm looking to fit some oxford heated grips to my 2016 MT-09 (UK) but I'm unsure which ones will fit because I can't seem to determine the diameter of the stock bars...... Does anyone know the diameter or have oxford grips already fitted and can advise which ones I need to buy please?
