    Tyre choice for UK Tracer rider

    For just general road use I would say that PR3's, Pr4's or road 5'S (my choice) would be a great . They all heat up quick and grip well in the wet. Personally I use Metz ME99's because I do occasional track days and I find that the Dunlops overheat a bit, but they are fantastic for normal road use.

    I had Metzeler M9RR's fitted I was going to get Road 5's but My tyre guy recommended these as I do occasional trackdays. So far they have been great on the road and track and the wear rate is quite good.

    Track tyres. What's your experience?

    PR4s will be fine. They will grip ok when warmed up but may get a bit too hot though Just remember to lower the tyre pressures say 30/30. There should be a tyre guy at the TD who will advise. Not sure about the MT09, but I took my 900GT on a TD and has issues with grounding the hero blobs on...
