    Get Your Throttle Body Cleaned

I have just resolved and long annoying problem. My 2014 MT-09 has 44k on it. It started to feel like it did when it was new and had nasty throttle response prior to the reflash recall. The bike has Kev's O2 mod and used to be smooth. The bike was tiring to ride in traffic and generally...

    Tyre Choice

Hi Folks, Mt MT-09 needs new tyres. Any recommendations for daily ride to work bike. I'm told some of those hard in the middle tyres are good. I'm in Oz so they have to be available here.

Is the ECU flash that solves the closed loop the best?

Kev’s O2 sensor mod has shown the importance of taming the closed loop behaviour of the fuel injection system. Now that one of the ECU flash vendors has “cracked” the closed loop has that vendor a decisive point of superiority to all other ECU flash vendors?

Worried about the software in the electronic throttle?

Worried about the software in the electronic throttle? Don't. I found this animation of it. Looks like there is a mechanical fail safe. http://media.yamaha-motor-europe.com/dwnl/dc/2006_YCC-T%20S-2.mp4

Oxford Bike Stand seems very high

Hi, just got an Oxford bike stand. It was the cheapest I could find. I am surprised at how high it lifts the rear wheel. It is a two man job using it. Is this normal for these things?

Expensive to ECU flash in Oz! Lets do it ourselves.

As usual it seems a lot more expensive to get an ecu flask in Oz. If I can get four mt owners together in Melbourne perhaps we could buy the gear and do it ourselves. My understanding is we need a connecting loom, a laptop, some software and the flash images. Does any body know the suppliers and...

    Cracked Sump!

Hi All, Coming of a TDM 850 I was used to lots of ground clearance. I rode off the foot path on to the toad. The curb was high and the sump hit the ground. Not much of a knock and at walking pace. The sump is cracked and leaking oil.

Barkbuster BBZ-01 doesn't fit (but we solve that)

The Barkbuster selection guide shows the BBZ as suitable for the MT. It doesn't fit as the end weight is solid. If you are happy to put the weight in the lathe and drill and tap an M8 hole then it fits. I adopted another approach. Barkbusters - BBZ-01

    Rattle from cam chain side

Hi All, This morning after starting the bike it made a rattle from the cam chain side. It went away as it warmed up. This is the first time it has happened. Any ideas?
