Hi All,
I got myself a very pretty 2016 MT Sport tracker that came with the high level Akra system.
However, it's now off the bike and up for sale.
It comes with the fitting kit that you need to reposition the number boards, for which Yamaha are cheeky enough to charge an extra £70!
There's a...
Want to know how fast you really are? Now's your chance to find out.
At long last I'm taking myself off for some serious track time in sunny Spain where I can really get to explore what my MT can do.
I think a load of us should do it together and show the sports bikers a thing or two at the same...
Hi all,
I've got a trackday coming up and I'm thinking of putting some proper rubber on.
Has anyone done any trackdays or racing and can share their recommendations or avoidances?
I'm really happy with the PR4s I use on the road but I'm pretty sure I'll want something a lot stickier on track.
I...
Hi all
Next weekend the Darkside tour returns to Box Hill
I'll be heading down on Sunday and am really looking forward to meeting up with as many of you as possible.
If you weren't thinking about going, can I suggest you put it in your diary as it was great to see so many MTs in one place last...
Saw this vid on youpube posted by someone with a strange MT10 obsession.
Gives you a chance to look in all the nooks and crannies if that's what turns you on.
Not too sure about the music though

Evening all
I stuck a pair of the lovely Ohlins springs in the front and kept the oil the same so as to change one thing at a time.
I'm now ready to change the oil for something thicker.
Anyone got any experience of this and any advice/tips etc.
Ta much, Fluke
After over an hour of hot air and uninspiring presenters we finally got what we were waiting for.
I've got to say I'm so happy I wasn't sitting in the audience cos I'd have slept through the exciting bit.
So, speculation over. It's an R1 engine in an MT package, well done if you guessed that...
Cos I'm a tart, I've changed my screen which means my smoked Puig touring screen is up for grabs.
It's 35cm tall and I think it's the light smoke version. It's in excellent condition.
You can see it on ebay by clicking here

I'm not proud of subscribing to Visordown but occasionally interesting things pop up, like this little article.
Top 10 European sellers
It's a list of the top european bike sales and though most of them are scooters, a few bikes make the list including...
Yep, you guessed it, our beloved MT09...
Took myself off to the cinema to watch the new flick, Mad Max, Fury Road.
Got to say, it was a real disappointment.
None of the roads had any fur on them.
Mostly dust, a bit of mud but no fur:(.
Just got Pilot road fours fitted following the advice from a bunch of you on the forum and cos I had a set of the PR3's on my Fz1 which were quite splendid.
The only tyres I'd experienced up till now were the standard rubber which I found twitchy above 120.
I've not scrubbed them in yet so this...
I exaggerate a bit of course but...
Since putting Ohlins springs in my otherwise completely standard forks, with standard ten weight oil, my front forks are stiffer but a bit bouncy.
What I mean is they compress and rebound a bit quickly.
My mechanic suggested a heavier fork oil but I wanted to...
Wotcha everyone, especially the UK riders.
I came across this by accident and thought I'd share it cos it sounds like a good opportunity to meet up.
It then occurred to me you might have all known about it for ages but I'll stop whittering and tell you what I'm on about.
It's the Yamaha MT tour...
The story of a new bike usually starts with an old one and I used to be the proud and happy owner of the fantastic FZ1 Fazer. The power plant was tweaked so it had great power as well as the great handling that comes as standard. I do a lot of city riding so I'd always been a little frustrated...
After much procrastinating I finally went ahead and ordered and integrated tail light from eBay.
It's made by a company called Tuner x and because they are based near Vancouver, I thought to myself, at least it's not going to be some cheap Chinese nonsense.
However, I've a feeling there's one...
Saw this on you know where.

Don't recognise the circuit so I can't work out how quick they are comparatively but I've gone up against a Superduke before and in the right hands, they can be very quick.
(To be honest, I was on a gixer thou and he still...

If anyone wants a headlight cover in light tint, i'm selling one.
It's on ebay for £13 but I'll post it out to you for a tenner.
DM me if you're interested.
Cheers, Fluke
Hi gang
I'm very happy to be able to report that I've finally got my standard shock changed for one from an 09 ZX10r.
(Ta to everyone who helped with the advice, especially L34chy and Marthy).
I've not really had much of a chance to ride it but the little that I've ridden since it was done has...
Just flicking through the Chrimbo issue of MCN, (I didn't pay for it, honest:D) and came across their article about the new Duke scrambler.
Squint at it and it's got the same silhouette as an MT-09. I've not sat on one but it looks like a similar riding position too.
I'd even go as far as to...
