Just a quick one guys... What have you been paying for a 12k service at your dealers? Got quoted £260 today.. Is that a bit steep? Thought it was just oil, filter and plugs at the 12k?? Cheers...
Interesting, I found that after my first oil change was done from new at 1000km it was a tad less responsive.., but only a tad ..
I guess the break in oil is thinner..?

Just had recall conformation for my tracer .. Booked in for first service same time........BUT...do they replace engine oil with recall repairs...!!!!!!
and if so will cancel the service...save £120.00
Just a video of what the oil looked like coming out of my sump today when I drained the oil for the first time, I was a bit iffy as to why I would drain the oil before its first service as the owners manual and the dealer both say to get its first at 1000k's but I implore everyone to change...
Who has a workshop manual, and could kindly let me know the torque setting for the oil cooler bolt. I beleive its a 36mm bolt. Thank you in advance. Andy

But after leaving the dealers, travelling along the M40, the Red oil light came????, so I turned around and went back to the dealers, but just as I arrived the light went out? anyway, they check it over, oil...

After long discusion with my "oil guy" i bought ELF MotoTech 10w50 again. The reason is that for 5000km i had smooth and quite changes in gearbox, stable engine temperatures and when it came out was silky and oily a lot when i touch...
Acquired some ohlins fork springs off of a member.
Ohlins recommend their 01309 oil which is 19 centistoke at 40 degrees (WTF?)
Now that's not readily available and no doubt will cost a fortune so what SAE fork oil should I use?
I'm guessing 5 or 10W ?
