Installed the 2005 ZX10R shock, standard MT spring set at stock max preload length, 1.5 turns out from minimum reb and comp, rear end excellent, compliant and controlled $200 NZD mod inc Suzuki Bolt kit. The front end was a bit dearer to sort but still happy. Managed to secure another R/H cartridge which was discarded from another MT, $200, 0.95 springs $220, oil $27. Final setting for the front, 5.5 rings showing both sides preload, Motorex 7.5w (around 24 whatever @40c) set 145mm below top of forks after bleeding without springs, rebound set at 1.5 turns out both sides. For my 115kg naked weight the bike feels bang on with normal road riding, low speed comp at front a touch stiff much like the rear, high speed feels fine and the front end is trustworthy on and off the brakes. The bike has a better stance due to the rear being 20mm higher and the forks sitting higher in the stroke. Turn in is neutral and stable and you can actually use the front brakes (next mod HH pads), no rocking motion. Static unloaded sag is 20mm front and rear. The bike still wants to wheelie but by gum it feels 100% safer. Happy boy :)

Nice upgrade interesting to see how the dual forks compare to just the springs and oil

The pack rack is a NZ made Ventura item, has these on most of my bikes, nicely made, tailor made to fit the bike, not too expensive, strong and bloody useful, the bike is a bloody joy to ride, next changes are HH pads, case guards (cheap ones from china look pretty good), axle sliders and a rad guard. Eventually a reflash and a hi flow air filter will be on the cards but not at the moment. Still on the original tyres, one these have been worn out Im thinking about those Conti Attack tyres that got a good rating on Perf. Bikes mag, good value for money as well.

Conti Attack's wear is faster than... smoke a cig:cool: try to find ratings compare to PR4..
Your "pack-rack" is for many uses... hope that was for easier stand-up wheelies. Thanks for the info.
Air filter is a cheap "must". if you like it as it is you don't need to reflashit..
