Hi fellow MT lovers!
So I have a 2017 model 7000 km on the clock . Have the bike only a week and loving it . Is it normal to have a rattle from the clutch when released and go away when leaver is pulled in? Seems to have gotten louder since I bought her? Any advice welcomed

You can normally hear a slight change in noise when the lever is pulled in, but it shouldn't be a 'rattle' on a bike with a wet clutch as these are.

However I think they brought in the slipper clutch in 2017 which could be the noise you're hearing - someone else may be able to confirm but I'm guessing that's your noise.

I have this occur on my 2014 MT09 when the clutch is out but in neutral. Never had it whilst in any gear with the clutch out. From reading around, this appears to be a fairly common noise to occur on the 09, and is believed to relate with the clutch basket dampers having a little backlash on them.

Yeah.. That's normal.. Mines always done it. There is a NOTICEABLE difference in engine noise between clutch in and out at idle!
