Has anybody carried a fuel bottle with them on their MT09? Similar to this one?

Primus Aluminium Multi Fuel Bottle 1 Litre: Amazon.co.uk: Sports & Outdoors

I seen this mod on a F800 GS.

Alan yes I have had the exact same idea and bought a bottle like you show. I was touring with a group of guys back in May and thought the MT09 would be forever having to fill up, in reality I was getting about 120/ 130 miles to tank so they just filled up when I did, so no problem. Also I could not get it out my head that I had a bomb in my luggage, so decided not to carry it.

However I did carry a metre of hose pipe, If I got low in the middle of nowhere I just syphoned some out of the Triumphs I was with. Easy to do and a lot safer.
Cheers

I had the very same one under a cargo net on my r1 for a 10 day tour of the alps a few years ago but didn't need to use it I was getting between 100, and 120 miles out of a tank full out of the r1, going to do the same trip this year on the mt09 and I am not bothering to take it
