Hey PaulG, the operator of this patrol vehicle, part of the Wellington highway patrol unit, was expertly proficient in the use of his on board radar in all modes, you can just see the front unit inside the windscreen by my left wrist, and was quick and safe at well over 140kph on state highway 1. In 4 hours on patrol we caught 5 unlicensed drivers, 5 uninsured drivers, 1 drink driver with no license or insurance and seized a total of 8 vehicles for the aforementioned offences plus dangerous defects. All as a result of speeding vehicles.
OPEL? Really?

Anyone installed a radar detector on his bike? I'm getting fed up with the fines I'm getting! Does it work?

try the SNOOPER 3 ZERO it works on the car and bike. you will need to mount it to the bike of course - it needs to "see the sky" to pick up GPS. It comes with a lead to power it from the bikes battery. you will also need speakers in your helmet for the audible warnings - saves keep looking at the screen and crashing!!

I wrote a response to this back when it first appeared, lost it in the ether and couldn't be fcuked rewriting it.But I spotted this again and couldn't let it go,lol.

So you caught 5 uninsured drivers,eh?Did you catch any other drivers for offences that don't exist in NZ ,like tinted helmet visors, perhaps?
Bloody "import" cops.Probably why they sent you back to Barnsley.

Insurance is not required in NZ.Twat.

Hi Rusty.... I have 4 Zero, slightly bigger screen, apart from that its the same... Have it in my van... Has saved my bacon several times... The thing detected something a mile down the road... I slowed down to 30... Birmingham impatience behind me... ALL screamed passed me, just to find a Camera Van over a humpback bridge....

Hey smurf nice one ! yep, the snooper's well worth the money. I use mine in the car and on the bike. On the bike I mounted a "snooper holder" on the 6mm bolt that holds the speedo on and my screen keeps it dry and fly free.

I have a Escort Passport Max in the car which has saved me many times but decided to go for the TPX for the bike due to the weather proofing, extra visual and sound alert. Does not pick up no where as well as the Escort and wishing it had GPS for the fixed cameras. However to date I've not been pinged for speeding so it's been a worthwhile investment.
