start button sticking

anyone else had this ?
when I start the bike I have to push the button back to the run position or it stays on start and the starter continues to run, makes a high pitch squeel.
I only noticed this today and seems to be the reason why the engine management light was coming on when I changed gear on Sunday

I've tried wd40 but it still sticks

I ended up taking it apart and giving it a good clean and lube...worked just fine after that

I had this, it was changed under warrenty when the bike was a few weeks old, no quibble from dealers

Had the same problem on my MT07, Dealer sorted it on warranty.

my start switch has just started to stick , gave it a blast of wd40..... seems ok now
