Just had my first 12 month service, told the tyres were getting close to replacement at 7,200 kms. Does that seem right to you for a weekend-only cafe rider? I thought it was lower than should be. Anyways, is that low?, and other than replacing with the same Bridgestone Battlax that come new, can you suggest another brand that will ride well and last longer please?

I've had two MT-09s and both came with Bridgestone tyres which covered 4.500 miles before needing to be changed. On the advice of another biker I changed to Michelin pr4s and have done over 10,000 miles before having to change them

I run the pilot 5's on my MT09, they suit the bike really well, they last about 6000-7000 miles for me (I have done 40000 miles on my MT so have gone through a few sets!)
