Clutch plate noise in N & clutch out

Yes this is normal, they all do that. I do recommend when the time comes to replace your clutch plates, replace with the EBC heavy duty springs. Clutch performance is way better and will last longer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Arrow System

I'm also really torn between the Akrapovic carbon and the arrow.. I just can't seem to decide which one to splash the cash on. I love the headers on the arrow but love the loop and the can on the Akra.. Both sound great with baffles in and out. How does the quality of materials compare in...

    Gear indicator

The sensor needs replacing. Nothing wrong with the display. You can get a new one under warranty. Mine was replaced last year. Can't remember how many Kms it was on. Maybe around 10,000. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Gear indicator playing up

I have just noticed that my gear indicator is playing up. I was out on a ride at the weekend and noticed that when you get up into 6th gear, the number 6 on the indicator flashes on and off or sometimes doesn't come on at all. all the other 5 gears are fine and the number comes up on the...

    MT-09 vs. MT-07?

I also rode the MT07 recently, I think it is a great beginner bike for someone progressing from a 250 or a 400. It felt very light and nimble, also had enough power to have fun with but is by no means any match for the MT09. I am glad I chose the MT09 as after riding the MT07 I could see myself...

    the highest mileage thread.

Ha ha.. I live in South Korea and use the bike for commuting to work during the week and then playing on the mountain twisties on the weekends. In may I did a tour up to Gangwando and back to my home city of Gwangju, that was about 2000km. Korea has fantastic mountain roads and the police leave...

    Tyre wear

So I destroyed my rear Dunlop after 2000kms and then replaced it with a Michelin Pilot power 2CT. I went for a two compound tyre to prevent more wear down the centres as I use the bike for commuting during the week, and ride mountain twisties on the weekends. I really loved the feel of this...

    long floaters

So, as everyone knows..it is very easy to pop a wheelie in Amode first gear. As well as Std mode.. I discovered today that in A mode, at 7000rpm, I could pop a lovely one about 90kph. After that I was trying to get the front wheel up in 3rd.. Has anyone managed that yet without clutching it...

    Tyre wear

2000km on my Dunlops now.. the centres are nearly down to the markers. not impressed. They do seem fairly soft to me though, and they heat up pretty quick. But I think I will go for another brand when the rear is completely worn.

This is torture (engine break in)

I enjoyed watching mine clock round from 1599 to 1600 Knowing that the break-in was complete today. Got a new oil filter and made the switch to Motul full synthetic, lubed up the chain and gave her a good wash. Man it opens up a whole new world taking it over 7000rpm !!

This is torture (engine break in)

I picked up mine on Saturday, I'm still unsure on who to listen to about breaking in.. I think that I won't be able to keep it under 5600rpm for 1000kms that's for sure. But I will be taking it fairly easy and not keeping it above that for "prolonged periods of time" whatever the hell that...

    xena disc lock.

Thanks Pipski99 ! I appreciate the help. I'm gonna now think about maybe just a standard disc lock and an alarm system. I have read mixed things about the alarms on the xena locks, but I heard they are pretty much bomb proof.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Breaking in period.

Luckily, Living in Korea I have a load of twisty mountain roads right on my doorstep to play on. Perfect for breaking in then..Just got to try not to give it too much of the right wrist on the straight sections ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
