First Service Cost

What have you all been charged for your first (600 mile) service?

CMC Cannock nailed me for £48 which broke down as:
Oil Filter - £10.76
Oil - £23.25
Environment charge - £1.98
Workshop consumables (WTF? Are they charging me for their tea & biscuits?) - £4.34
VAT - £7.67

How does that compare to the rest of you?

Damn, we get ripped off something cruel down here.

I thought $180 was cheap (which it is) through the dealer I bought the bike from.

Not so cheap when you compare it to 86 bucks tho!

I like the way they still manage to make money on the consumables on the first service. The labour is free !
Buy your own genuine filter and your own grade of oil with a sump washer and see how much it comes to.

Spray on chain lube and wd40 make up the rest of your charge no doubt.
