Very true. Golden rule, make sure the engine's hot before opening it up & don't strain it.Some of you guys seem very anal about running in, I was always taught don't labour it and don't rev the nuts out of it for prolonged periods, otherwise use it normally. There is an old school of thought that engines nursed through the "running in" period end up burning oil and having low compressions due to bore glaze.
