If you've not seen it, there is a thread on here somewhere all about corrosion issues of which there appear to be many.
Mine's not really affected and I keep the poor little lamb out of the rain

I'll go looking for that. I tend to replace all non structural fasteners with titanium or s/s. The remainder get coated in ACF50. The demo bike I rode was in a shocking state because it had been ridden throughout the winter months. A lot of the problem is down to how you treat the bike. Wash regularly, I did this two or three times a week when I was commuting. Don't use hot water and never use washing up products. I use ph balanced products like SDoc100 or Castrol Greentec. MucOff is getting a bad name for not being balanced and has been cited as potentially problematic. For the last five or six years I've used shock tubes which have left the rear suspension units in near perfect condition even after 10's of thousands of miles in all weathers.
