Interested to hear if anyone here has experiance riding in NOLA in April, will spend 10 days traveling up north and back, any stories or advise would be welcome, even about the weather...... thanks to any one who can help me a little. :)
No Problem !!!
I had the same question. I'm 19.3 and was worried until I took one for a test ride, For some reason It works for a tall guy, still don't understand it, yes you can move fwd and back on the seat but most of all you seem to fit into the bike it's self under the tank.
SuperMotoBoy - That was very nice reading. I think you summed it all up very well. I only had my Ducati a few years so I wasn't plagued by failures or did I see to much bad workmanship. But I still think your old model the 1200 is a very cool looking bike. As I am so happy with my MT I had a...
Hi Flydnb, yes I was siting a bit back holding on to hard I,m sure. I have always had heavy bikes so I guess I should just get used to a great amazin light bike. No regrets ;)
Just re read my comment, I like the front wheel coming loose and up under hard gas i 1 2 3rd thats the spirit of the bike, but I was in 5th gave gas and it became loose and started wobbling, I had a head wind this may have helped in some way, but it took me of guard a bit.
I was riding in the weekend and I noticed how light the front end is. There was wind but at speed the front came a bit loose from the road and got a slight wobble on, is it damper time, has anyone else come across this ?
I havent touched my factory set up. Does anyone have comments, Im 93 kilo and tend to live with what I've got instead of playing a bit. Would love to hear what has been tried ?
Flydnb, Even though I loved winding the Ducati twin out I kind of like the doing the same to the Yam more. I was looking for quick Jap power instead of waiting a bit for the Ducati to come on with it's fantastic thumping power. If you know what I mean. Handling I like the Yam a lot more, and I...
Well, still smiling, love that engine..... have been doing the brake in Motorman style. That Yamaha has exactly what In was looking for, just a fantastic bike. I got a Triumph Rocket 3 and a Boss Hoss 502 which are 2 great bikes that really blow me away but the lightness and flexibility after...
I am 6-3 and am due to pick up my new bike this week, I have a photo of myself onboard and I must say I look a little oversize on the thing but the ride is so good..... I am going to live with it, I hope ......
It would be interesting for yamaha to make a comment ? Some race gearboxes (cars anyway) have different shaped cogs and make the same sort of sound but it is always present not intermittent like the MT.
I had the same on my test ride, below is my thread....
