Have just had a pair of Michelin Road 5's fitted, after going through 2 x sets of Road 4's. Up to now the ride is awesome in both dry and wet. Fully recommend them.

Thanks for the info. Have adjusted the chain a few times (now on a new chain and 1 x extra tooth on the back sprocket) but was just wondering what the correct torque was. Cheers That 1 x extra tooth on he back made a great difference to the bike. Singapore is one endless Traffic Light sprint...

Funny enough, I haven't tried it out yet. I am in Singapore with my MT-09. I will have to wait a few months and let you know, meanwhile here are a few (very small) photos (brother in law collected the bike). Also pictured with a Yamaha R3 I bought a couple of years ago.

Just to update. Yamaha rectified the problem on my bike. They changed the "Neutral Switch", which I guess is also the gear position indicator. Works OK now. It was Singapore Dollars $55 = about 30 pounds.

My bike is almost 30k KM's in and the Gear Position Indicator is failing. It is OK when the bike is cold(ish), but when up to temperature position 5 and sometimes 4 are missing. Will be getting replaced at the next service.

Just changed the standard pads for EBC HH Sintered. Great difference.

Have a set of Michelin PR4's on the bike right now. Good tyres, especially in the wet. Wanted some Dunlop Road Smart 3 but non available at the time (in Singapore)

I have covered about 5000 km on PR4's after a set of Pilot Power 3 wore out. No problems at all with the PR4's, great in the wet. I do seem to be able to lock the front more often compared to the PP3, but I guess the PP3 are a softer compound (bike has ABS)

I increased the rear sprocket x 1 tooth when I change from the standard chain to a gold DID chain from Wemoto. Has made a great improvement to acceleration.

Mine has just started to not indicate 5th gear. It seems to be mainly when the motor is hot. When its cold its OK. No problem with the motor or gears, just the 5th position on the indicator. Bike will go for service at 30K. It is well out of warranty. My guess is the sensor is either dirty or on...

Nasty. Sorry to read (and see) of the mess. I am 27000 km on my 2014 MT, no issues up to now. The transmission mod was carried out not long after I had the bike. Hope you get back on the road soon.

Changed the settings from 0 to +14 yesterday. WOW - unbelievable difference! Bike now far more responsive, glad to hear that fuel consumption will also improve. Thanks so much for the info....
