    Xsr900?

I bought a K1300s in June and have been touring abroad twice with it. Fist time to the Pecos three days after purchase. I also have a 2003 VTEC VFR with LSL upright bars and a comfort seat and before that a TDM900a. both bikes were too upright for me. Road shock straight up the spine. I like...

    Xsr900?

I asked at the show if Yamaha intend to make an MTo9 sports tourer on the lines of my BMW K1300s. He pointed at the Tracer and said that was their sports tourer. When pressed he said there was no chance, I think they are missing out .

    Getting second thoughts now

These days we count the litres in, that's why I suggested comparing miles to the litre. If you want an economical bike that is a wolf in sheep's clothing the new SV650 is reckoned to do 73mph. A friend led a ride to Switzerland this year on a 650s and he really took some hanging on to in the...

    Getting second thoughts now

I think there is another thread here on fuel consumption. Why don't we just compare miles per litre and keep it simple, if you want MPG from there do the maths.

    Getting second thoughts now

Why do you want to stand up straight, I thought you just wanted to relax your body a bit. If I want to straighten my back I can do that when riding just by taking my hands off the bars (at the appropriate time of course). Numb bum etc they say is caused by lack of circulation and I have worked...

    New mt?

Why has it got that horrible thing sticking up by the nearside of the back wheel? Looking at the front I'm sure it will have a nickname by tomorrow. Marvin the paranoid android maybe. I like it though.

    Getting second thoughts now

At the moment I am riding a BMW K1300s and I have no difficulty standing up on the pegs to relax my numb bum. I'm 5'9" with a 29/30 " inside leg. I don't think you have a lot to worry about there. I have been looking to change to the Tracer but I find it a bit too upright and too high for me...

Yami, I'm sure this website is known here but it won't do any harm posting again Motorcycle Ergonomics I find it very useful.

    New Yamaha

Chatting to a dealer today and he said there was to be an announcement of a new bike on Friday or Saturday before the Milan Show. He at first thought it might be a four cylinder Tracer but has seen details of a snowmobile or an all terrain vehicle that has a 1000cc three cylinder engine in it...

Have fitted a Tutoro chain oiler

I used to grease my TDM900A chain more or less every other time I went out (120-170 miles) but sold it and added a VFR VTEC with a Tutoro and found it great. It uses little oil and works well as long as the reservoir is not over filled. Also have a K1300s so nothing to do other than change the...

    helmet mounted cameras

Or do you mean the amount of wind noise created by the helmet mount and camera in your helmet? I have a mount for my Drift ghost on one side and a Sena SMH10 on the other. makes my Shoe Flip Up real noisy.

    Collected the MT-09 this morning

66? a youngster . As long as your leg gets over the saddle you can ride and what a lovely area to ride in. Keep your bike secure, I have a friend living near Calpe and his three bikes were stolen from his garage.

    Alterations to Tracer

I have a VFR VTEC with an LSL top yoke and high bars thinking it would be more comfortable than it is. I recently bought a K1300s and found it very comfortable. But it is an expensive bike to have go wrong. I have always liked the idea of the Yam tripple engine so am looking at ways of lowering...

    MT09 Clutch Judder

In the days of kick starts it was normal to pull clutch lever in and depress the kick start to free the clutch. As for the dry clutch plate being covered in oil and replaced that surely is an indication of restricted oilways to the basket. Clutch judder on a new bike cannot be normal. Good...
