Could be. I was really into getting one, so I went to the ‘other’ Yamaha dealer that I don’t like (they don’t like me either tbh) and they even ummmed and ahhhed about getting me one.
I haven’t seen any bike in real life with one on either now that I think about it..
I have the Shad one, very comfy.
many local Yamaha dealer would not sell me the official comfort seat. Had too many complaints and now refuses to stock it.
Well my MT is 4 years and 12k old, so I decided to change over the chain and sprockets...
No issues with the OE one, just fancied a change.
went for a DiD chain and JT sprockets..
front but was tight as a tight thing! Grrrr..... got there in the end though!
I went ohlins in the back and hyperpro springs and heavier oil in the front.
Preload is 5 rings too IIRC...
I’ve thrown my roll bag on the bag for a few Euro trips now, works fine - although I travel very light... lol
Yeah the bag is a touch big, but goes with the colour of the bike and I only paid £20 for it! Lol
suspension is just a bit budget, mine is a 2016 model so I didn’t have any adjustment in the back and the springs/oil were too light for my chunky frame lol.
Too much dive in the front end, even...
MT09.
no issues, there was 1 recall for a minor thing with the headstock something or other... nothing major and it was fixed within 20 minutes
I put my own quick shifter on, not a Yamaha one - it’s great made by Healtech, I also have gp/reverse shift.
I’ve also upgraded the suspension, it’s...
Hi Steve,
Since this is a Yamaha forum the answers here might be a bit one sided! Lol
have you asked the same question on KTM forum?
All I can say is, in the time I’ve had my MT, 2 of my mates got dukes.
one has sold his already after a year, the other has had around 14 warranty claims - and...
As above, I wouldn’t mess around trying to make a helmet fit.
I have a AGV head too...
I mostly only buy them and don’t try to get my human calculator to fit where it’s not meant to go!
*i also have a BELL helmet..
Ah, need to be registered to see that thread unfortunately...
Good choice in the old Kawasaki though...
no need to convince me of old school basic bikes, the MT is my newest and I turn everything off I can, I prefer analogue too...
Nothing taken personally, don’t worry about that... (y)
Don’t get me started on main dealer service history! Lol
I would much rather have a nice folder full of receipts and a bike that is obviously in good condition than a couple of stamps in a book.
how is the FJ coming on? Have you started...
