Just traded in the bike for a bmwr1200r. Just want to thank people for the advice etc on this site. I actually still loved the mt09 but fancied a change. There are a couple of bits on the for sale section if anyone is interested. May be back one day, who knows, thanks again.
Just traded the mt09 in for a bmwr1200r so the above are for sale. The rack has been used for 1 week. The seat for about a month. The seat has been reshaped and covered by saddle craft in South Shields. I had it modified to make it flatter and more comfortable.

No don't cut it. Just force and stretch it over the grips fanged part. Then make sure it sits between the rubber grip and the plastic washer. Make sure the throttle snaps back shut. If not then a thinner o ring may be needed
I made a rectangular hole using a dremel and some tiny files. Took ages marking it out etc but it's a lovely snug fit with hardly any gap. I then made a tiny rubber sleeve to seal and stop any water from getting in. It stays on the bike. I just unplug it and remove the camera from the case if...
I can't even attach photos I'm afraid. Bit of a numpty as far as Internet goes. Plenty of footage on you tube tho. I have tried a couple of cameras and this one is perfect.
Got this mounted to my handlebars and connected to the aux socket in the right hand air intake panel cover. It records when engine is started and stops when switched off. Footage is excellent and records in loop mode so great if accident occurs. Highly recommend.
I haven't got them on my mt09. As I said I replaced the fasteners for good stainless ones on my fireblade. I was able to stand up on the pegs so mine were definitely strong enough as I weigh 14.5 stone.
