Manually Adjusting Your Own Cam Chain Tensioner ?

Guys,

If the new tensioned doesn't arrive at Woking Yamaha today, I'm want to adjust mine to stop it rattling around. They keep telling me its no problem, but i can't physiologically sit there and listen to the engine rattling and think its alright!!

I believe you remove the bolt in the top, then under that there is an allan bolt which is turned clockwise to wind the 'ratchet' onto the next click. Anyone have any idea how much???

For anyone interested, its an M6 x 25mm set screw (or grub screw) with an M6 flange nut.

lovely job, that will save me a lot of arm waving and dodgy translation when my chain starts to rattle.
