Petrol Tank- Sticker

Has anyone else removed the FUGLY big sticker on the petrol tank- the one that tells you type of petrol/ refer to owners manual etc? Looks hideous!

just heat it up with hair dryer until hot. it will then come off easy

Loadsa Youtubes out there showing hairdryers to heats guns. I picked mine off tiny piece by tiny piece in between spraying with WD40.
Actually thats not all the truth. Id made a complete mess of it and Woking Yamaha removed it on the 1st service.

Yeh mines off too, heat gun an wd40, off in seconds!!!

Got mine off with a dirt cheap travel hait dryer.

no mess no tearing no remains on the tank but quick clean up with acf50 to remove the outline of the sticker and its perfect now.

Took mine of straight away, warm with hairdryer and use polish or wd40 to remove any glue

I removed mine today with the hair dryer and whilst it was warm fitted a clear tank shield to protect the go-faster-stripe.

Looks like a hair dryer the weapon of choice!!
If only I had an extension long enough to reach the garage.....

Man that sticker really annoyed me!
