This is an interesting looking tail light. Changes the back end completely. I think if you could get the number plate back up under the tail it would loom really good.

The tank pad is Rizoma. They have a website. I would have thought the tail light would fit with any tail tidy or stock tail, but you could email them?

I prefer the original tail light, drivers can't miss the fact that you're braking and it's looks are spot on.

Yamaha have made a very unique tail light already, but you want to go back to the dull single-light version, with a potential* tinted glass making it difficult to spot in daylight?

*) Potential, because I can't say if the glass is tinted or not...

I agree... I actually like the "floating" look.
It also helps that my buddy hooked me up with the awesome integrated turn signals mod...
