The Metzeler Roadtecs are a good tyre BUT I found that they slowed my steering down too much on the Speed Triple 1050 for my liking.

While obviously a pity these guys have died it's not an unusual occurrence.
They know the risks and race anyway knowing that if the worst happens then at least they have died doing something that they enjoy.
This is something that my (15 model year) MT did and I believe is/was quite common.
Most of it was cured when I fitted one of Kev's O2 optimiser thingies which has now been super-ceded by a reflash by Simon.
I thought this had been cured on later model bikes though.
