Can probably get the original seat re-upholstered for about half the cost of a Shad seat by someone like Sussex Motorcycles Elite Comfort Seat Motorcycle Memory Foam Inserts at Sussexmotorcycles.com, better than gel pads for rider comfort.

While obviously a pity these guys have died it's not an unusual occurrence. They know the risks and race anyway knowing that if the worst happens then at least they have died doing something that they enjoy.

This is something that my (15 model year) MT did and I believe is/was quite common. Most of it was cured when I fitted one of Kev's O2 optimiser thingies which has now been super-ceded by a reflash by Simon. I thought this had been cured on later model bikes though.
