The problem seems to be with the courier that delivers the bikes to dealers. The Yamaha database will tell the dealer that a specific model and colour will be delivered on such a date and you would think that determines what the courier delivers. My advice. Don't put an order or deposit on any...

Thanks for expanding on the need for an allen key and photo's. There's no mention of removing footrests in the manual - oddly enough! I'll have another look and reassess the job! Thanks for your help. PM

I had the same delivery issues until the senior salesman at the dealership got to grips with the problem; mind you that might have been me threatening to cancel the order that done the trick!

Removing footrests will make no difference. As for an Allen key are you talking about rear shocks or even the correct model of bike??

Not sure if the Tracer got the XSR rear suspension upgrade?

Extension used and yes I also was able to adjust my previous bike MT07, but not this MT09....

I thought I would bump the rear shock up to level 5. Attacked it from all angles with the adjuster and short of dismantling 3 cables on the right hand side I couldn't get the darn tool secured to turn it up to 5. The bumps in the road could be smoothed out by the councils surely? Make the track as flat and as grippy as posssible? It would be nigh on impossible to eliminate the curbs, lamposts, walls, houses, hedgerows and other static immovable objects but cancel the whole event - unthinkable...
