I didn't see 'crossplane' on Yamaha's site about this bike. So either the 'crossplane' triple they were talking about a few months back is for a different bike... or they realized that their engine wasn't really any different from existing triples and dropped the word from their marketing info.
The fz8 won't last much longer in my personal opinion. With the new and cheaper FZ-09, the already struggling sales of the FZ8 will be murdered. It would be silly for Yamaha to keep it around, like Rabbitman said. :)
