    Screen

So what's the deal with the rubber trim around the screen? My Powerbronze screen came with a coil of it but I didn't see the point of fitting it. Is it an aesthetic thing or something that is supposed to add some other kind of benefit?

    Service

I get the point about the first service and it being the case for all bikes. I take exception to the stealer charging labour and think the manufacturer should pay that. If they can't build or test something well enough that sharp bits of metal are floating around, why should I be charged for...

    Screen

Would be interested to see that too! Gave up on the original screen and bought a Powerbronze touring that was marginally worse! Took a jigsaw to it in the shed yesterday and fashioned this. Hopefully it will fulfil all the criteria of lower wind noise, not flapping about, offering some buffeting...

    Service

Just had my first service done today and I feel robbed. £148 for an oil and filter change. Some nonsense about 'checking things' but on the basis that I've had to tighten bolts and apply thread-lok to the loose handlebar clamp myself, just what the hell was the 'stealer' thinking? The Tracer is...

    Which quick release tankbag system?

In response to the 'tank' bag question and not the 'tail' bag question, I'm really pleased with the Givi 15L bag that uses their Tanklok system and requires a BF23 adapter ring. Be careful that the ring you get is from their latest manufactured batch though as there have been problems with the...

    Tracer exhaust options

Fitted my Akra on Saturday after finding a great deal on flea-bay. Could not be happier, sounds a treat and after changing the CO levels I feel confident this will cement the relationship with this amazing piece of kit. Would never want to lose the option of a centre stand when one is provided.

    Tracer C0 Adjustment Guide

Thanks Juvecu, I followed your very clear instructions after fitting my Akra on Saturday and set the CO levels to 12 on each cylinder. It's just one of those situations where the Tracer is slightly different from the classic MT09 and it made sense to follow instructions intended for the relevant...

Tracer non-standard screen adjustment for wind noise

I fitted the PowerBronze touring screen and all it seemed to achieve was allowing me to stoop less onto the tank in order to find calmer air. That's £75 I'll never see again. What a POS. For a bike that's amazing in so many other ways this is really crap. Next option (as I was advised to try...

    LED + DRL indicators

Is this something you have been told or your theory? I ordered mine in Feb, along with the bike. Bike finally pitched up in April and at the time I was told the LED indicators wouldn't be arriving until June. I would be surprised if a company with Yamaha's resources aren't able to provide a...

GIVI quick lock tank bag - Safety warning

I had the same problem, got the BF23 as this is the correct fitting for the Tracer while the BF05 is the one for the standard MT09. The problem is that the height of the ring is not quite sufficient to clear the silly plastic mouldings at the top of the tank and so it doesn't lock on properly...

    Gear box recall

Bob, I get the same but only when changing down into third from fourth - a strange mechanical whining sound. It doesn't sound 'bad' as such, just don't get it in any other gear change, up or down...

    What tank bag?

I would have gone for the Yamaha tank bag (manufactured by SW Motech like other Tracer gear) had it not been for the fugly tank ring you have to attach first - it's hideous! I'm going for the 20 litre Givi bag and their much less garish tank adapter ring.

I will kick this one off!

For some reason my bike looks like it spends its life on its side - it doesn't! These pics were all the right way up and I'm not sure how to alter them on the forum. Hope nobody strains their neck muscles too much...

I will kick this one off!

Fitted the Evotech Performance radiator guard and SW Motech crash bars, they blend in really well on the black/graphite bike.

I will kick this one off!

Just fitted the Gilles and really rather pleased with them. Hope SWMBO feels the same!

I will kick this one off!

Sorry it took so long, have been working on a new shed...so much to do, so little time

    Fog Lights

Wow, they do look great and certainly a very good price. The description is barely decipherable gibberish, which is always fun to make sense of, and there appear to be a number of complaints in the comments box. But despite all that, presumably there are some kinds of regulation regarding...

    Fog Lights

Has anybody fitted them, made by SW Motech I believe. I don't want them so close together at the front but am thinking about mounting them on top of my crash bars. Does anyone know where they connect into on the bike, is there already a socket waiting to accept them? Presumably the switch fits...

I will kick this one off!

Thank, My Toy, will take a look! Just got back from having my seat modded by Chris at Sussex Motorcycles. Memory foam with the covering, looks like a great job and already much more comfortable than stock. Half the price of the Yamaha 'comfort' seat and probably twice as good!
