My MT 09 had the clutch Judder when new, however it has sorted itself out. Did some drag racing a few days back and the clutch was smooth and easy to launch hard.

Hey everyone, A search didn't reveal any threads specific to 1/4 mile times so I thought I would start one. Anyone taken their MT/FZ to the drags? I know that isn't their design brief but they are still pretty capable for a cheap mid sized bike. There is also some discrepancies with 1/4 mile...

Mine started to rattle at about 900ks, dealer denied any sound at the 1000k service but now 2 weeks on at 2000ks they couldn't deny it, they nipped it up and it's quietened down for now and they are ordering in the replacement newer part. I'll check back in down the track an report on the fix.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Sorry, let me compose myself. I'm in Melbourne, after 17 years and 20+ road bikes I also bought an orange MT 09. High sided it with 29 klms on the clock at about 40 kph. Insurance sorted it out, $4000 damage.. I share your pain..

I've simply removed the ones on my MT 09 and fitted MX style enclosed grips, no noticeable increase with vibes without the end weights on and the bars are a few inches narrower which helps with filtering.
