I didn't really have a problem with the stock suspension settings...well at least I thought I didn't until I read this thread and decided to have a go at changing the settings.
I'm about 14.5-15 stone fully kitted.
So yesterday I cranked the rear shock to 5 and adjusted the front preload to...
So the weather in Scotland decided to stay dry for about 3 hours yesterday morning. I'm just back from the States and haven't been able to ride the bike for a few weeks so on seeing the dry roads I quickly got my gear on and headed out.
As per usual I stuck to the nice twisty roads. It was all...
Good collection you've got there! Between on and off road I have far too many helmets. Most of which now just sit in their boxes taking up space in various cupboards. Drives the Mrs bloody mental! She's not got a leg to stand on though. Every time she has a go I just remind her of all the...
Both the NXR's and GT-Air's look like awesome helmets. I think when I've got some spare cash again I'll get myself a Shoei. I've got an AGV (Guy Martin replica) just now, and despite loving the look of the helmet I've never felt that it's the comfiest. Plus I just love getting new lids :D
I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised at what I'm getting to a tank. The size of the fuel tank was one of the things that I was really unsure about before I bought it. However, I've found it great. I'm never one for letting my petrol get too low (car or bike) so I can't say what The max I've...
Yeah just stock mate! I'd have to agree about the triple, I think Triumphs are the smoothest bikes I've ever ridden. I was so close to buying a new Street before I went for the MT! Hope I don't end up regretting my decision in the long run!
I'm the complete opposite mate! Used to have an ER and anything over 4500rpm I could feel a load of vibration through the footpegs. I've not noticed any on my MT so far...
The whining is nothing to worry about. Mines does exactly the same at lower speeds in 3rd and 4th. It's just an engine characteristic. I find it disappears when I give in to the engine's wishes and give it a handful! Plus it's more fun for me :)
Hi Steve. Saltire motorcycles in Edinburgh was/is doing 3 years free servicing with the bike. Almost enticed me to travel through from Fife to buy one! That quickly went to pot though when I did my test ride at Alan Duffus in Kirkcaldy and had to buy one as soon as I got back :)
