I saw this Garmin Zumo 590 LM - YouTube

The 590LM, looks good, but is it true Long screen ? I want to know whats around the corner and further in the distance, what I dont need is the streets and roads off to my side as I'm going past them.

The 590 sure has all the bells and whistles, it's the one I want to get to replace my old 550.


Not sure what you mean by true long screen?

It does rotate to portrait mode so I imagine that would show more of ahead and less to the sides. I find you don't want to zoom out too much as you don't get a good view of the approaching bends in the road.
