Hi,

My name is Oliver, I'm 44 yo and I leave in south of France.
I've a 2014 MT-09 ABS model wich has now about 1000 km.

I've been riding various bikes for more than 27 years, such as 500 XT, 1000 FZS, GSX1400, MT-01, 1000 CBR-RR, RSV-R, R1, Street Triple R, TMax ...

I hope we can share out our experience on this bike wich is quite new and need some improvements.

Oliver.

It's a race blu.
Here is a picture, since this one I've received the fly screen and I'm still waiting for the engine protectors.
After that I'll change the levers for shorter ones and add heating grips.

And the ABS is not pulsing a lot, it's not as strong as it was on FZ1.
My bike came with the best tires : S20.
But I've heard that with the BT214 the ABS was acting too early.

Yep, it does. I have my 09 since 2 days.
The ABS in the rear reacts very quickly.
The front I don't know yet, The roads were wet when i brought it home.
Have now 200km on the odo.

That explains a lot. My bike has the Dunlop D214.

Hand Guards are Acerbis dual-road.
They are plug and play but you must use the larger spacer, if not the clutch lever will touch the guard. (too long)
Here are better pictures off them :

Il suffit d'enlever les embouts de guidon et d'insérer les pare-mains.
Sont livrés avec plusieurs tailles d'écarteurs en fonction du diamètre intérieur du guidon, et des entretoises pour l'extrémité.
En mettant la plus grosse entretoise plus de souci avec l'embrayage, sinon il faut déplacer la cocotte gauche d'un centimètre vers l'intérieur.
