Off-road capabilities?

What do you guys think of the capabilities of this bike to go off-road? Just slap on some dual sport tires and go, or do I need to take other things into account?

The engine is great for "stop&go"s with its throttle response. And the frame is a motard. The only thing is ground clearance, but that can be raised with a new rear shock.

Do you think the travel on the front will be enough, if you change the rear shock?
How much will the handle bars turn compared to a MX bike?

But, "not enough" would be my first bet, he he he

I do suspect that the front end needs greater travel...
