overun pop

has anyone noticed any popping when you shut the throttle down, when I test rode the mt I didn't notice anything, but I do love a bit of a pop lol.

I do get some popping on overrun, especially near home on a steep down hill in 2nd gear but the exhaust really stifles it. I know the bike can sound so much better and give so much more if it is allowed to breathe properly.

no, mine doesnt. I always thought popping was due to air leak in system, ie loose headers, or lamda sensor loose allowing air into exhaust?

I haven't bought the bike yet Im just interested if anyone is getting any pops.

Yeh mine pops nicely and so did the demo bike, just chop the throttle at high revs and let it coast an it will/might do it.

Will do it even more with a baffleless Acra system fitted.

Yeh mine has quite a nice grumble n pop whilst blipping the throttle on changing down under hard braking.
Quite a nice snarl as well
I do feel like it as developed a bit over time

It might just be a triple thing.
I've had two 1050 Sprints and a Daytona 955 and they all popped on the overun. You get to love the sound especially if you've heard it riding down deserted Glens up in Scotland

I used to have a Speed Triple with an Arrow exhaust that popped and spat flames on the overrun. I will be most disappointed if the MT-09 with the Akra' doesn't do that

Yes mine pops as well ! will be more noticeably when my exhaust arrives and is fitted
