As I live in France there is a lot of stations selling SP95-E10 petrol. I know it was okay to use in my Z1000SX as I asked Kawasaki.
I have resisted so far from putting it in the MT09, suppose I should just ask Yamaha , curious as to what your thoughts are.

in respect of?

It's crap, but some day we'll all be stuck with it.

I think I read in the handbook it's fine in the MT.

I would not say it is crap , I know on older engines not advisable to use , also Methanol eats rubber. As I say I did use it on occasion with the Z1000SX but that was only because were I was there was not an option. Living in Rural France we see more and more of it. Thankfully so far I have had the option with SP98. I did ask on the French MT09 section on FB and they are divided in opinion.
