Wow! You should be rewarded for your loyalty to the brand! Yamaha should give you the MT-09 for free! :p
Before these bike's I had I think 5 more Yamaha's and 1 Suzuki.
So come on with that free MT

Ok, don't laugh!

Last month I traded in my Honda CBF125. Was a nice bike but I felt far too underpowered and vulnerable on the roads to keep riding it.

In 1990 I had a 1989 blue and yellow "F" plated Yam TZR 125. Gotta love the 2 strokes. Stolen in 1991 and never seen since.
Massive gap...........
In December 2011 I got a blue 2008 "58" plated Yam FZ6 Fazer S2. Put on Beowulf exhausts, K&N filter, power commander with custom tuned map, twin headlamp mod, puig screen and some crash bobbins.
In November 2013 traded FZ6 for my new MT-09. Still standard as the dealer haven't got my screen, tank protector or seat in stock yet!

First bike for passing my test was a CG125 but don't tell anyone!

Then a Honda Rebel 250 with big thick rear tyre I thought I was the man on that little thing!

Then the sports bike bug bit and I bought a TZR250 with key card starter absolutely amazing.

Ran that for years then bought a ZZR600 when I started working full time in Glasgow and doing the 50 mile round trip commute. Crashed it- low side.

Then bought a CBR600. Hated the thing it looked so ugly so traded up to first of the fox eye Fireblades and finally got rid of it in 2005.
I still miss that bike it just never got any slower!
Bought a 2007 blade after that but it was never the same but still a great bike. Kinda went off bikes a bit and never used it the way I used previous bikes so...

Sold it in January last year and bought an old crosser- an RM250 and loved running around the forest tracks behind Loch Eck all summer and plan to do same on it this year too

And that brings us up to date on a beautiful orange MT09 in October.

Kawasaki: KH250, KH250, KH250, GPZ500, ZXR400H, KLX250
Suzuki: FZ50, FZ50, GS550, GS850, GSX400F
Triumph: 955i Daytona, Sprint ST1050, Sprint ST1050
Yamaha: DT50MX (my 1st ever bike), FS1M, RXS100, RD250E, FZR400R, FZR600R, RD350LC, RD350YPVS, XJR1300SP, FZS1000, TRX850, TRX850, MT-09

7 of the above are triple cylinder engines :)
The best was the BMW, nothing comes close(build quality, fuel economy and the ride), but the MT has only 9 miles on it so far ! The reason for not buying another was the 2010 Anniversary was something special and to spec-up the current version took it to just short of £10K. To buy a 3 year old version was the same price as the MT !!!!

Oh yeah, they can do - if doing the dirt way and occasionally lifted 'em up on 2 wheel (either on the same side, or front/back ) :D
They are fun as hell, but not always practical ;)
