In town, my bike runs at around 90-95*C. If there more than average of stoppage it gets easily over 100*C.
Out of town roads, about 82-84*C
Lowest it ever gets is around 73*C, running on highway, 6th gear and within speed limit.

I have R&G Alu rad guard.

Is that normal?

thanks

There is a long thread, the figures you quote there are pretty typical of what I get too.

71* whilst out in the countryside yesterday. My fan has activated 3 times in 3,000 miles but each of those times I've been stuck in traffic. I also have the R&G radguard fitted.

Increasing the CO settings will reduce the running temperature (and engine braking) but at the expense of economy.

No radiator cover fitted, my fan never had been on, these days (end of September) with 20C outside temp my engine runs on 69C (6th gear, open road). When environment temp is at 30C my engine temp is 79C (6th gear, open road).
I've mention these facts at the other thread in the past..
