Well 4 months on and I am now on my 4th screen on the Tracer.
I did not really like the original as I found in noisy, and to much movement at the top for my liking.
Second screen was a small Powerbronze Adventure Sport screen, which looks good and is pretty quite but does not give any protection.
Next I got the Powerbronze 50cm touring screen, Looks OK and in the high position give really good wind protection and is pretty quite, I just find the movement a bit too distracting.
Yesterday I fitted an Ermax Sport screen, it is a shorter 35cm, but after a nice ride-out this morning I think it is my favorite, looks great (maybe I should have gone for a darker tint?) no buffeting up to good motorway speeds and pretty quite to. Anyway I took a few pictures when I got back.

Perhaps the final cure for windshield problems

National Cycle Vstream mid size shield. This is the only windshield I know of that does not touch the hand guards when the handlebars are turned. It includes an additional metal bracket to increase screen rigidity.
BTW: The MT-09 is known as the FJ-09 in the states.

It seems to work fine and really cuts down both noise and buffeting.

2015 Yamaha FJ-09/MT-09 Tracer

I got mine for about $20 less at Revzilla.com
